Cinco- De Mayo Celebration at  Willoughby Harbor

Just a short message to recap our raft up this weekend.

The weather Saturday was absolutely gorgeous and the attendance at out raft up was OUTSTANDING!

Great to see the response from the following members;
Persystence, Bob & Shirley Cunningham
L'attitudes, Buck Harrison and guest
Interest, Ralph & Cheryl Weatherington
Sea Fever, Debbie Kirkland and Rod McLeod
Sandy Sea (&OPB) Larry and Sandy Stewart
Coriolis, Andrew Spittler
Sun Seeker, Pete and Bonnie DeWolf
Grace, Ron & Nina McCoy
Inspiration, (via Persystence's dinghy, ) Clark & Amy Cundiff
Spindrift, a hunter owner with interest in joining,

We also had special guests from HSA-1, Windrose, with Carl & Sue Reitz, who planned their trip home from the Bahamas timing their arrival to the Chesapeake Bay to join  our first raft-up.  Carl is the immediate past-commodore of HSA1. They treated all of us to a short slide presentation of their trip to the Bahamas.

Several other boats, who just happened to see us on the water, having a good time and asked if they could join us for the day. A great time was had by all.

With safety for all, as our first concern, the raft up was cut short when the winds were gusting to 20+ knots. Around 12:30 boats separated  and  anchored separately, for the night.

The morning arrived  with more of the same winds and waves, with several members having slept very little with one eye open, listening to the wind, and watching for their anchors dragging.

Special thanks to John & Judy Szarek for their offer of bringing breakfast out to us, however, with the weather most had departed early.

Thanks again to all, and hope to see everyone out on the water soon.

See you at Harborfest
